Documents required for Academic Interview:

  1. Acceptance/admission letter from a French Academic Institution.
  2. Academic records – mark sheets + pass certificates/degree or diploma certificates (10th onwards up to the last degree obtained).
  3. Language test certifications if required by institutions in France.
  4. Curriculum vitae.
  5. Experience letter (if applicable).
  6. Any other documents that you may have uploaded on the Campus France online form.
  7. Appointment letter.
  8. Payment proof.

Documents required for Consular Interview

First, you will need to register on France visas website and fill in your personal information. Once you complete your file, the website will generate a long-stay visa application form filled out with your application. Make sure you complete the right form, since there are two types of France visa application forms, one for short stays and the other for long stays.

  1. Three recent passport-size photographs with a white background, not stapled. Full face; no face cover that prevents the visibility of facial features.
  • Original passport:
  • Valid for at least 15 months starting from the beginning of the study programme.
  • Containing at least two adjacent blank pages and issued within the last 10 years.
  1. A copy of the passport front page and all relevant pages containing previous visas with immigration stamps within the last 5 years.
  2. A copy of a residency visa valid for at least 90 days. Copy of Visas issued for the past 5 years (including immigration seals).
  3. Proof of academic status:
  • The original + a copy of the last completed degree (high school diploma, bachelor, master). The acceptance letter from the French university.
  • A copy of the deposit receipt (if the deposit has been made to the university).
  1. Proof of financial means: Expenses Statement + Proof of financial means: updated bank statement(s) with sufficient funds, education loan.
  • At least €615/month is required or €300/month in case of free accommodation.

If you are a self-funded

  • Salary certificate.
  • The original bank statement of the last 3 months stamped by the bank.
  • If self-employed, trade licence of the company.

If you are sponsored

  • A copy of the sponsor’s passport & residency visa.
  • Digital Financial guarantee letter signed by the sponsor stating the readiness to cover the costs for the period of stay, accompanied by an original bank statement of the last 3 months & the salary certificate and last 3 years ITR.

If you are a scholarship holder – Scholarship letter.

  • Kindly note that applicants must have in their/the sponsor’s bank account the total amount that will cover their stay for at least the first year following their arrival in France which includes (615 euros per month for monthly expenses + accommodation fees + tuition fees).

  • A reservation of an accommodation for at least 3 months following your arrival in France.

If you are hosted by someone in France:

  • A copy of the ID of the host.
  • Digital invitation letter.
  • Rental contract – Bail de location – if the host is tenant of the house/apartment.
  • Title deed – Acte de propriété – if the host is owner of the house/apartment.
  • Utility bill (water & electricity) of the last 3 months.

If the student is hosted by someone else:

  • A copy of the ID of the host.
  • Digital invitation letter.
  • Rental contract – Bail de location – if the host is tenant of the house/apartment.
  • Title deed – Acte de propriété – if the host is owner of the house/apartment.
  • Utility bill (water & electricity) of the last 3 months.
  • Parental authorization given to the person hosting the minor in France.
